- All golf clubs which have at least one golf course designed by Nicklaus Design are eligible to participate in the JNIGC program with no associated costs to the club. Eligible clubs that wish to participate in the program will be required to become a “Host Club” by signing and maintaining a current Host Club Agreement with Nicklaus Design, LLC. Membership privileges in the JNIGC program will be extended automatically to all persons holding regular golf membership privileges in a Host Club, but will not apply to temporary promotional golf memberships or to any limited sports or social membership which does not permit access to the Host Club’s golf facilities.
- Host Clubs with Nicklaus Design courses that are in design or under construction can enter into Host Club Agreements to promote their participation in the JNIGC program and the future benefits it will bring to their membership in marketing and advertising materials, subject to the approval of such materials as promotional material under their Golf Course Agreements with Nicklaus Design. However, access to the other courses in the network will only be provided to: (a) members of those Host Clubs having a Nicklaus Design golf course completed and open for play; and (b) members of those Host Clubs granted special exemption status by Nicklaus Design. Resort and daily-fee facilities may participate as Host Clubs to benefit from the increased exposure to members of other Host Clubs through their identification with the program; however, requests for play cannot be originated from facilities which do not have a permanent local membership component.
- Each Host Club with a new Nicklaus Design course will be required to complete a Host Club Information Form just prior to its opening for play, which will include a designation of the golf professional(s) authorized as the contact person(s) for such Host Club. Information for established Host Clubs must be updated with Nicklaus Design on an annual basis, or at such earlier time as information on file becomes obsolete. Nicklaus Design will publish and distribute a JNIGC Course Directory annually to the golf professionals designated by each Host Club to assist them in communication with each other and to provide guidelines to be considered by them in handling requests from their club members for reciprocal privileges at another Host Club.
- Each club is responsible for promoting the JNIGC program to its membership and for informing individual club members of the limitations and procedures applicable to use of membership benefits. Nicklaus Design staff will not be responsible for initiating or responding to communications with individual members of the Host Clubs regarding the JNIGC. Host Clubs will have the option of providing their members in good standing with access to the private JNIGC web site, where individual members can acquire information on the participating golf courses in the network. If a Host Club elects to utilize this option, a unique password will be assigned for club members to gain access to the JNIGC site once contact information and access guidelines have been established with Nicklaus Design.
- All tee time requests to play golf or utilize other facilities of another Host Club shall be made by the designated golf professional of the home club on behalf of its members. Under no circumstances should a member of a Host Club contact another Host Club or Nicklaus Design to obtain privileges or attempt to make a tee time reservation directly. The designated golf professional of each Host Club will be responsible for informing club members of this policy and for handling any problems with other Host Clubs created by violations of this policy.
- Green fees and other charges for visiting JNIGC members are left to the reasonable discretion of the designated professional of the Host Club at the time a reservation is taken and will not be published by Nicklaus Design so that requests can be handled on a case-by-case basis. However, each Host Club understands that other clubs affiliated with the JNIGC may suspend or limit the JNIGC privileges of such Host Club’s members if such other clubs determine that the Host Club’s pricing or access policies for JNIGC Members unfairly restrict access to the Host Club by members of such other clubs. Any preferred rate or special treatment that a Host Club would like to extend to a visiting JNIGC member is appreciated but not required. The designated golf professional of the home club will be responsible for communicating the details of any reservation made for a JNIGC member at another Host Club, including the agreed upon greens fee and preferred method of payment.
