The South Korean had a one-stroke lead heading into the final round but got her day off to a poor start with a double-bogey on the third hole.

Rather than be rattled by the early blip, the 25-year-old soon recovered with an eagle at the fifth and a birdie at the seventh, although the latter was cancelled out by a dropped shot at the eighth.

Choi's back nine was less eventful, with two birdies seeing her home in 70 for a total of 274.

Two shots back was countrywoman So Yeon Ryu whose up and down round of 70 meant that she was never able to mount a firm charge, ending on 12-under.

American Brittany Lincicome also carded a 70 as she had to settle for third.

Karrie Webb's 69 propelled her into fourth on ten-under, one shot clear of second round leader Ai Miyazato.

Miyazato endured a tough weekend, with her 71 on Saturday followed by a an error-stricken round of 74 on Sunday.
