Six tournaments in the 2014 PGA Tour season will actually be contested at the end of the 2013 calendar year.

The schedule, which was released on Monday, will feature 45 tournaments during the first wraparound season in PGA Tour history. The Frys.com Open, which takes place in California will be the opening tournament of the season.
The Frys.com Open, along with the other five tournaments which take place this year, will contribute to the FedEx Cup standings.
The other tournaments include: the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas (October 17th-20th), the CIMB Classic in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (October 24th-27th), which becomes an official PGA TOUR event for the first time; the WGC-HSBC Champions in Shanghai, China (October 31st-November 3rd), which also becomes an official event; The McGladrey Classic at Sea Island, Georgia (November 7th-10th); and the OHL Classic at Mayakoba in Mexico (November 14th-17th).
The season will then break for a month before it continues in Hawaii next January.
