Adam Scott has wasted no time in adjusting to the upcoming ruling change regarding putters and has seemingly abandoned his long-handled putter.
Scott: A new putting stroke
Scott has been using a long-handled putter for the last 18 months and has seen an upturn in form over that period. However, with golfing authorities announcing last week that when the rules of the game are next changed the anchored putting stroke that the 'broomstick' and 'belly' putters cater for will no longer be permitted.
While this change can only come into effect in 2016, Scott appears to have decided to make an immediate change as he was seen preparing for this week's Australian Open without his broomstick putter.
The 32-year-old's putting stroke was still not conventional though as he made use of a claw-style grip with his bottom hand and his top hand separated towards the top of the grip. By using this technique, he is able to almost replicate the stroke he made with a long-handle putter
